Caledonia Park was a 3 star hotel up until last year when it closed unexpectedly. Since then many apartments have been sold off or privately let and as a result a new community is still being formed. Measures are being taken to re open the swimming pool and improve the condition of the communal areas which have suffered some neglect during the transition but there is a lot of will to make Caledonia Park a very nice place to live. It is no longer a holiday letting complex.

Caledonia Park is undergoing a transition into private occupation, the public areas of the hotel are closed and the swimming pool has been drained. There is a management company on site. It is intended that the pool is reopened and some of the hotel areas may be re opened in the future for residents to use. At the moment the community fee is around €80 per month but that will rise to a normal level as the facilities are reinstated. The community fees include electricity, water and basura so they are quite low at the moment. Water meters are being fitted to separate out the cost of water and we are told the same may happen with the electricity.
