Mount Teide – Half day Trip

The National Park of Las Canadas is an acknowledged World Heritage Site, it is one of the most spectacular and extraordinary places on the planet.

Tha Park is an enormous crater surrounded by mountains including the world famous Mount Teide which rises majestically from the crate plateau. The crater was formed millions of years ago when previous volcanic mountains collapsed into a massive bowl of magma. The sights here are spectacular with amazing colours and shapes, the locals visit at different times of the day because the light dramatically changes the colour contrast.

A visit to mount Teide will take you through a diverse range of plant life from cactuses through to pine forests. Great photo opportunities.

Tenerife Island Tour

Starting out from Las Americas you will take a tour along the west coast through Playa de La Arena and Puerto Santiago to Los Gigantes with a spectacular backdrop of shear cliffs rising from the sea. Some great photo opportunties here.

From Los Gigantes, it is on to Garachico for more amazing views, then on to Icod with it’s amazing Dragon tree. The church of San Marcos is worth a visit. You can also sample the local wines and liqueurs in the local Bodegas.

Via Guia de Isora you will make you way up to Mount Teide and the National Park where there are some wonderful photo opportunities. Capture the ever changing landscape at various stop off points during the trip.

On to Icod famous for it’s wines, then through the evergreen Oratova valley to see the ancient Dragon tree. Then there is a lunch stop in Garachico which was detroyed by a volcanic eruption in 1706.

The last stop is Masca which was originally occupied by pirates. The pirates could hide and they had great views of La Gomera so they could see all the ships passing between the Islands. The village itself ifs very picturesque completely surrounded by mountains and cliffs, it is a reminder of a bye gone age.

La Gomera Day Trip
