Sampling Tenerife Culture may not be high on the must do list of all Tenerife Tourists but if you do enjoy culture there are some wonderful Tenerife Museums to visit.
The Museum of Nature and Man
An organized modern museum exhibition project to present the investigation and conservation work conducted over the decades by the Museum of Natural Science and the Archaeological Museum of Tenerife. The result offers an insight into the natural wealth of the Canary Islands on the one hand, on the other, it is a chance to discover the largest existing collection on the Guanche Culture. The Guanches are the original aboriginal people that inhabited the Island before the arrival of the first colonists. See the Museum of Nature and Man video

The Museum of Science and Cosmos
The most important objective of the Museo de la Cienca y el Cosmos is to awaken and develop curiosity about the world of Science and the Universe, a cultural vehicle open to all kinds of demands and concerns. Since it was created in 1993, with the backing of the Astro Physics Institute of the Canary Islands (IAC), the museum has exhibited a hundred modules and interactive experiments bringing society closer to scientific ideas. Temporary displays, sessions at the Planetarium, informative talks, educational workshops, films with scientific content, camping and astrological nights are among things which compliment the museum exhibitions.

The Museum of History and Anthropology
The cultural dimensions of historic processes are shown in the Tenerife History and Anthropology Museum, based on a dialogue between these two disciplines. As an Island Archive it conserves different collections of historic and contemporary documents and objects which are the primary reference of the museum work. Orientated in this manner, the aim of the museum is for the two centres to complement each other as a place for historic memory and for reflection about contemporary culture, to think about the past and to remember the present.
