The Anaga Rural Park – The Diversity of Tenerife Tourism

The Anaga Rural Park, or Anaga Massif as it is also known, is another excursion not to be missed if you are an earthy type of tourist. Due to unusual geological contours and the biodiversity within the area you could be excused for thinking you were not actually in Tenerife, it seems the Island will always unfold something new, even if you have lived here for years.
Within the Anaga Rural Park you can discover the almost extinct laurel forest of Laurisilva as it is also known, a relic of the woodlands of the Mediterranean basin in the Tertiary era. You can also see the old established hamlets which blend well into the natural ecological environment. There is a visitors centre and it is possible to spend the night in the park at the Montes de Anaga refuge. Another unusual draw for Tenerife Tourism. For more information telephone 922822056
