The coastal village of Playa San Juan in Tenerife will open a new ambitious cultural centre within a year. Work has already started with demolition of the old centre in Plaza Las Salinas and construction of new centre on the same site. When completed the new building will have an area of 16,000 square metres and apart from being a cultural centre it will also be a Police Station, a Consumer Advice Centre and a centre for the Elderly of Playa San Juan. The new cultural centre will house a library, an exhibition hall, an auditorium and seven classrooms to be used by the municipal leisure school. The project has a budget of 2.3 million Euros and the new centre will be a great bonus for the residents of Playa San Juan.
Playa San Juan is an up and coming village having opened the new beach last year, there will also be a new youth centre for creativity and education inaugurated later this year.
