Baggage Allowance and Excess Baggage

Transport of your luggage up to a certain limit is included in the price of your ticket. Normally, airlines permit an allowance on domestic flights of up to 30 kg per passenger travelling in First Class or Business Class, and up to 20 kg for those travelling in economy.
International flights apply the same system as domestic flights, except for routes to United States, Canada and other American countries (check with your airline), where a “piece” system is applied, that is, there is a limit on the number and size of the pieces of luggage allowed.
As long as the travelling conditions so allow, you will be able to check in more baggage than the allowed weight by paying the amount established for excess baggage.
In any case, weight restrictions and rates for excess baggage vary depending on the airline and, therefore, it is advisable to check the information beforehand with your Tenerife Agent or airline.
