New Cunard Queen Elizabeth cruise liner to visit Tenerife

Famous cruise operator Cunard is building a new £365 million pound liner which will be named the Queen Elizabeth. She will be nearly 300 metres in length with a displacement of 90,000 tons and capable of berthing 2000 passengers.

In English Royal tradition, the Queen’s Room will feature artwork relating to the Royal Palaces and photographs of the Royal Family. The vessel will also have a garden lounge with a vaulted glass ceiling and an art deco style restaurant. The art deco theme will be similar to that of the original 1930’s Queen Elizabeth cruise liner.

The new Queen Elizabeth liner is scheduled for a maiden voyage to Madeira and Tenerife during October 2010.
